| Here i am again another effin problem. So i switched from my intergrated card to my 1 year old Nvidia Geforce MX 400/400 64mb vidcard. So after i play tfc on it i remeberd i could take vsynch off so i did and i got like 100 fps constant. now i update the drivers and BOOM!. Now whenver i startup TFC i respawn than it locks up the game it repeats the sound over and over than it reapetts the sound faster than it restarts my computer. it pissing me off . please help |

sometimes the latest drivers arent good for a perticular application. I remeber I had to go back a couple of revs on the video driver to make my gforce mx440 card to work you might try to unistall the latest and install a back rev or 2. I am running a ATI card and I cant run the latest drivers because it mess's up the video when I switch between the TV and PC so I am useing the previous version.

Are you installing the drivers over the existing drivers...or deleting the previous driver and then doing a fresh install?
Especially when going to a previous driver...it's most important to remove all traces of any driver to begin with then do a clean install of the driver you wish to use. If you don't do this...you could be mixing components of two different driver sets. |

| well i went to my old drivers and reinstalled steam and all seems to be fine lets hope |

if it does work, good
If it doesn't, try either a V-card Switcharoo or a system wipe. Only Wipe your system in a worst case senario. |

| K i dont think its my vid card cuz everytime i freeze after i unfreeze i look at the table of scores and i get real high ping. What could be the cause of real high ping? also im running on a router. |
