Unlike CS:CZ...this game is single player only. There is no multiplayer option...and that's just fine once you get into it anyway. Also unlike CS:CZ...most of the time you're on your own in missions that are more difficult and long and are not based on "rounds" like CS is. When you start up, you begin your first mission and when it's completed...the next one begins. You can save your progress along the way and pick up where you left off.
There are 12 missions that you must complete in order to unlock the last 5 which are then accessable from a "World Map". You can select easy, medium or hard play for each mission. Even on easy, it took me the better part of two nights to complete these 12...2 of them are real biatches.
This game is great to learn some of the weapons and their uses in CS...but it's again, not like CS gameplay at all. There are some real tricky puzzles and cool gadgets like using an optical camera to see around corners and some intense firefights.
This game is available to those that either bought it initially or purchased HL2 on steam. If you happen to have it...give it a try. I found it most enjoyable.
The only good game, is a fair game...
