user has no response to my requests "player please use a name", i check tracker and see what names he has used. i think he shouldnt be here, just another asshat. yes, i banned a player based on name, past names, and response to admin requests.

i didnt realize you were talking to me when you said PLAYER please change your name. i figured you were talking to someone named player. if you would please unban me, i will make sure to use a "real" name in the future, sorry =/

explain to me.

True...his name was not "player" at the time. So I can understand why he wouldn't respond if you were calling him player. Additionally, we DO NOT ban based on a name (unless it's offensive or racist)...or the use of past names used on other servers.

I wasn't pleased with some of the names I saw there either...but he used none of them here. You should have either changed the name yourself or kicked him to get his attention...banning wasn't the appropriate solution.

Please un-ban him or I will do it shortly myself.

You'll find we have very few rules here L0ki...but having a discernable name is one of them. Believe it or not, it helps us admin the server better and our stats are run by player name...not steam ID.

We prefer players have a name that is decent...and that they use that name fairly consistantly when they come here so we get to know them better.

I can confirm the ban was removed.

i apologize for my quick reaction. i was raised as an admin at KEEGS TF server and learned to check odd playernames against the stats and logs. if the player used foul/defamatory/etc names in the past then he would have a lesser chance of being good to play with and wouldnt last long. basically showing what kind of player he/she is and if you would even want them around.

i need to curb this old habbit and remember that this is the funhouse first.

Ahh but the system works. Glad to see you can come here and get an explanation of why someone was banned and unbanned. Far better then elsewhere.
