OK I may be painting a target on my back for this one but here goes anyways...

Heres the deal...the sound bytes added to the server are there for those who KNOW how to use them and not spam them and to add some additional wackiness and to give a few good laughs right?? Good...now some there (including myself) have the option and capabilities of using mic induced sound files whether its thru some HLSS program or scripted thru Winamp or some other mp3 player like I use (as HLSS is a piece of poop). So why is it that I can come on there any given day and use my sounds....none offensive or lewd as I do know better....and get complained at left and right EVEN though I am NOT repeatedly using them but yet I hear no gripes or complaints when someone else launches their sounds (yes I have heard some questionable ones that wouldnt pass the filters normally) and REPEATEDLY uses them? I am not stating any names or using any examples as I posted this as a general discussion matter and not as a gripe or complaint as this has probably happened to other players other than myself....well there it is....run with it folks.

You did not abuse the sound byte feature, IMO. And I don't understand why some were getting so worked up about it. But you've certainly handled it well, both on the server and in the tone and content of your post here.

sometimes its just having the right sound to play and not wearing it out.
i have a song called "Bastardman" that i play when i do a kamikaze run. it seems that more ppl than not like it and want me to play it for their kami~ runs too. i try to not wear it out Smile

when you played "tokyo ghetto pussy - i kiss your lips" the other night, it was excessive and didnt sound good over voicecom.
you may want to adjust the volume of your sound clips. when you use winamp to convert them, open and enable the equalizer, set the master slider down between 0 and -12db.

Yes but sometimes you have played the same sound about 20 times within a 3 map timespan. I have a very sharp audio memory and it gets extremly irritating. If you played different sounds over voice it would be cool. Very Happy

My only issue is trying to bind the right keys to the sounds...I try them out on a self created server before bringing them to the pub...but the results arent always what I expect Sad

i always try to get a behave.wav in at the end of the map Razz

As long as the sounds are not vulgar, played over and over or are too long in length (a full length song for instance)...I have no problem with them.

"bastardman" is only 17 seconds Razz

I like my new calvary charge I added! Seems no one cared too much for my Buckwheat clip...

I think I've heard the buckwheat one but it was from an old admin..
