I'm growing ever incensed at the expanding number of high level players that play here now and biatch and complain about not playing by "clan style" rules. I found myself doing just that today to some newcomer on the server...and I was dead wrong. Those are not our server rules and I felt like a jerk after I spoke to him. I wish to apologise to any of you that have been effected by this sudden change of environment...it even got the best of me.
The line will be drawn right here, right now.
This is a pub...everything is allowed, except outright cheating...final.
If someone wants to DM in the yard...fine. That is not against our rules and I will not stand for anyone telling someone not to...or how they must play. Any play style is tolerated here...and that's that.
Now...if ALL on the server agree to a certain style or set of rules they wish to play by...that's fine. But if someone disagrees or someone new enters the game, they are free to do what they wish...those are our rules. We have a large number of truly skilled players now that we didn't have before. These players are well above the skill level of the average player here and will not dictate how this server is run.
I'm tired of hearing "turn off the bots"..."turn off the hook"..."stop with the fireworks". The answer from now on wil be NO. |

Thanks.
Does that mean the hook is always staying on? What about fireworks?
I do have an objection with fireworks since most people just crash the server with them, or place loads of them and make outragously loud noises, but it looks like that don't matter anymore. |

No...the hook will not "always" be on. But we run 12 maps in the cycle. You can count on it being enabled for at least two or three of them.

I love this little addon...but some with access to them continue to abuse them. Dropping them on other players while in spec, building towers with them and blocking maps with them. Luckily, we haven't had a crash with them in a while...but not for lack of trying. If this behavior continues, access to them will be removed from all but the admins again. That would be a shame. |

I'm fine with everything you just said, except the bots thing. From what i've seen, 9/10 people(random statistic) will vote to kick bots(if there are enough people). If the teams are 6 on 6, and people don't want 2 extra bots on each side, why not just kick the bots? |

I have no problem turning off the bots...usually. As long as there are at least 10 players, no problem. We've had as few as 6 or 7 and still some scream "I won't play with bots"...they'll have to get over it. 4v3 on Badlands is not really fun...jmo. |

I agree. I know everyone has heard of "shooting deals". It mostly involves snipers. I do it a lot because im positive that offense people get tired of me shooting them when they RJ or Bhopping. So i make a pact (some refuse) and i only shoot the sniper.
If anyone wants to not be shot by me, im fine with it. Ill take on the other sniper or any D class the enemy has.
To be honest. Me, an admin, and about 4 other people were on Openfire_l 2 days ago. So 3 on O and 3 on D. It was fun. Infact, people started to join noticing no bots Oh, can you please change [FoX]Targets' name? it's really starting to get annoying dieing in 3 shotty shot shots. |
